At A World of Furniture, we believe buying furniture should be exciting, not stressful. That's why we offer a professional, reliable delivery service using our own experienced delivery team.

Whether you're buying a single piece or furnishing your home, we'll do our best to make getting your new furniture home as easy as possible.

Where We Deliver

Our delivery service covers a wide area across Dorset, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset and the surrounding counties.

We currently deliver to the following postcode areas:

BA • BH • BS • DT • GL • GU • OX • PO (excluding Isle of Wight) • RG • SN • SO • SP

Professional Home Setup Service – £50

Our Professional Home Setup Service takes the hassle out of delivery.

For just £50, our experienced two-person delivery team will:

  • Deliver your furniture safely to the room of your choice
  • Professionally assemble your furniture
  • Position your furniture where you want it
  • Remove and recycle all packaging
  • Carry out a final check before leaving

No heavy lifting, no packaging to dispose of and no flat-pack furniture left for you to assemble.

This service is available on large furniture orders.

Bunk Bed Assembly – £100

Due to the additional time and care required, bunk bed assembly is charged at £100.

Small Item Delivery

For smaller items that require little or no assembly, we may be able to offer a reduced delivery charge depending on the item and your location.

This may include:

  • Lamps
  • Bedside cabinets
  • Small chests of drawers
  • Small sideboards
  • Mirrors
  • Home accessories and décor

Collection

You're welcome to collect your furniture from our stores.

Collection days: Monday–Friday

Weekend collections may also be available by prior arrangement. Please contact us to arrange a suitable collection time.

Delivery Access

Please make sure there is safe and suitable access to your property and the room where your furniture is to be placed.

Before delivery, please check doorways, hallways, staircases, lifts, gates and other access points to make sure your furniture can be safely delivered.

If our delivery team considers access to be unsafe or the furniture cannot be safely moved into the property, delivery may have to be completed at the nearest safe and reasonable point.

Where a failed delivery is caused by unsuitable access or nobody being available at the agreed delivery time, reasonable additional delivery or collection charges may apply.

Delivery Times

We will arrange a suitable delivery date with you and, wherever possible, provide an AM or PM delivery window.

Our delivery team will normally contact you before arriving.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and we cannot guarantee an exact arrival time, as delays can occasionally occur due to traffic, weather or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

VAT & Export Sales

All goods purchased from or collected from our stores are sold inclusive of UK VAT, where applicable.

A World of Furniture does not provide a VAT-free export service. We do not offer VAT refunds or VAT-free sales for furniture that is subsequently exported outside the UK.

We do, however, offer VAT-free purchases on qualifying mobility furniture for customers who meet the relevant UK VAT exemption requirements. An eligibility declaration may be required at the time of purchase.

We use our own delivery team rather than third-party contractors, allowing us to provide the same friendly service from our showrooms to your home.

We never use third-party contractors, so you can expect the same friendly, reliable service from our experienced team from showroom to your home.
