At A world of furniture we firmly believe that it is as much about working with and supporting the local community as much as it is running a business within it, after all without the local community supporting us in our growth where would we be?

To that end we have over the years worked with several charitable organisations with our biggest efforts concentrated on the charities mentioned within this page.

The Trussell Trust

The Trussell Trust is a voluntary organisation that helps families who find themselves going through tough times with the donation of food aid, to be able to help with this in any small way has been enormously rewarding and we have been fortunate to have been involved with for many years now, so every year we use our fleet of vehicles and teams from across all 4 stores to aid the Trussell Trust in delivering food parcels in time for Christmas.

Along with this we are also developing, with the Trussell Trust a new scheme for furniture recycling at our main branch at Salisbury, this will be a collection point for unwanted furniture that the Trussell Trust can use to stock their new outlets.

Help 4 Heroes

Help for Heroes is a British charity launched on 1 October 2007 to help provide better facilities for British servicemen and women who have been wounded or injured in the line of duty.

As to the nature of our stores and their positions we find ourselves within the heart of military training and encampments across the south for a vast swathe of the forces. We have many customers from the forces and they have been a great support to us over the years and it is a great honour to be able to help them in the hour of need and to this end we make regular monthly contributions to Help 4 Heroes.

Stars Appeal

The Stars Appeal was formed to help raise money to create the best possible experience for patients and their families by funding extra care and equipment over and above that provided by the NHS.

With our close proximity to the Salisbury Hospital (and no doubt each of us has had a reason to visit and receive first hand the excellent treatment and care that they offer), over the years A world of furniture has helped in this fund raising by donating items to the various auctions that have been organised by the charity and have also donated money directly to this organisation.
